The Nordic Society of Fish Immunology (NOFFI) decided to change from a Nordic to an international fish immunology society at its General Assembly in Scotland in 2007.
As a consequence of this, it was also decided to change the name of the society to European Organisation of Fish Immunology - with the acronym EOFFI
The main purposes of the new society are as before:
To arrange international symposia on fish immunology every third year
To initiate collaboration projects among scientists working the field
To enable mobilisation of young researchers
The next meeting of EOFFI will be held in Viterbo in Italy in June 2010. More information about the meeting can now be found here: http://www.unitus.it/eoffi2010
EOFFI announces travel bursaries for eligible young scientists [MSc or PhD students] wanting to attend the upcoming meeting in Viterbo, Italy (see News for more details)
